LAS VEGAS and ATLANTA – February 7, 2019 – Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS) (“Scientific Games” or the “Company”) received international accolades from Gaming Intelligence during the 2019 ICE Totally Gaming show in London. Following an extraordinarily competitive year in the gaming and lottery industry, the Company won in the Lottery Supplier of the Year category.
Three Scientific Games leaders were named to the Gaming Intelligence HOT 50 executives of 2019: Barry Cottle, President and CEO; Dylan Slaney, SVP Casino for SG Digital; and Cameron Garrett, VP Analytics and Insights, Lottery Group.
Gaming Intelligence noted, “Scientific Games had a stellar year, with growing European dominance complimenting its market leadership in North America. This year, it launched the first full-scale sports betting platform in the U.S. with the Delaware Lottery, and also rolled out complete lottery solutions for Swisslos in Switzerland and Szerencsejáték Zrt in Hungary.”
This year’s win for Lottery Supplier of the Year marks Scientific Games’ fifth consecutive year receiving the honor, underpinning the Company’s rich heritage of success in the global lottery industry.
Additionally, Gaming Intelligence shared, “SG’s expertise allows it to develop highly innovative digital lottery products such as the Pennsylvania’s first online/mobile games in May 2018, which recorded sales revenue of over $100 million by October and is considered the most commercially successful iLottery launch in the U.S. The supplier’s sheer weight of numbers and innovations like its new SCiQ® retail system keep it ahead of the competition.”
Pat McHugh, Group Chief Executive, Lottery at Scientific Games, said, “Our Gaming Intelligence Awards at ICE 2019 reflect the momentum we’ve built and maintained in the international gaming and lottery industry. Our people and our products are focused on advancing technology and game content, and these recognitions are a testament to the continual strides we are making to create the world’s best gaming and lottery experiences through our commitment to excellence and innovation.”
Scientific Games provides games, technology and services to more than 150 lotteries globally. The Company is the largest lottery systems provider in the Europe, and the fastest growing lottery systems provider in the U.S.
